As a fundamental believer, I disagree with Glenn Beck's overly zealous proclamations.
That said, it is true throughout Biblical history, which also is recorded in world history, that God has indeed raised up people to accomplish things that HE has ordained should happen. It was prophecied, (foretold) several hundred years before it happened that Israel would go into captivity into Babylon because of their repeated sins against God.
Well, a man was born on earth years later named Nebuchadnezzar who was the KING of the powerful Babylon empire and God gave him victory over the armies of Israel. And he transported all the people back to his country. We can see and read some of that in the Book of Daniel who was alive during his reign and was esteemed by the Ling. Daniel's lifestyle and testimony had a BIG influence on the King and in the end, the King believed in the same GOD of Daniel, and of Abraham, and of people all over the world throughout the centuries. He has indeed made himself known.
BUT we know not the MIND of God nor HIS PLANS regarding all the details. We know SOME of things HE has declared will happen and world events pretty well line up for those things to happen, and reasonably soon I might add.
It was Christians, men of faith with a relationship with GOD who founded this nation, who became our Presidents early on and framed the Constitution. All one need do is STUDY the words of Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Adams, Dr. Benjamin Rush, James Madison, Abraham Lincoln John Hancock, and many others and one will see that the Constitution was framed by men of FAITH who lived it, READ it, and believed and trusted GOD for their outcome, their survival, their nation's safety and security.
WHY did GOD keep us from being trampled over easily by the world's strongest military? We should have been slaughtered, easily.
It was because this was the first nation in the world to put GOD FIRST and build a nation under that premise while giving HIM the glory and worship that rightfully belong to HIM.
Glenn Beck is OFF the DEEP END and says a lot of things that honestly are not found in the scriptures.
ALL this being stated as prelude and introduction, please allow me to say this:
Donald Trump is a FAKE claiming to be evangelical ( a real christian). He talks like a street thug, which is NOT what men of faith talk like. It also is NOT what the BIBLE teaches, and every one who is a believer KNOWS Trump hasn't opened one page of that Bible he was waving around. Falwell's DAD is rolling in his grave over his idiot son's endorsement of Trump, and I knew Jerry Falwell.
WHY do people like Trump, including myself in SOME things? Because he says out loud what many are thinking. However, he does it and says it in a thuggish manner, and assaults others who are Constitutionally far superior to him, and have argued cases in front of the Supreme Court, Ted Cruz for example.
While I disagree of dominionism, I do not disagree that if a child of God gets elected to the White House, that the nation should be governed by GOD's principles. HE does not require everyone to be a believer. THAT is YOUR choice. So religion is NOT going to be JAMMED down anyone's throats.
But let's get this nation back on track, growing like we did when we HONORED GOD, and gave people their right to the pursuits of Happiness that is theirs, and get government out of our lives as much as possible.
THAT is why I prefer Ted Cruz over Donald Trump.
I do not like Glenn Beck and his half baked assertions. I really question what he actually believes as it lines up with the Bible and Biblical teaching. Mormonism is diametrically opposite of the teachings of scripture in the NEW Testament, which is where the gospel was sent out to ALL the WORLD to ALL people, everywhere.
One husband and one wife make a married couple. Mormonism is a cult. Period.
Just like JW's and so called Christian Scientists.
Just because something has the word "christian" attached to it does not make it so.
That is exactly why GOD will separate the sheep from the GOATS, the TARES from the Wheat!
He KNOWS who is HIS and who is NOT. I can speak on the authority of God's Word because I KNOW it, have it within my heart and mind, and believe it. TRUMP is a PHONY. RUBIO is a PHONY. JEB ACTS LIKE A PHONY.
CARSON is for real in his faith. CRUZ is for real in his trust in Christ but the Church his daddy is out of is troubling.
I would take Ted Cruz everyday over Trump and the rest, except for maybe Dr. Ben. While he and I do not agree on all points of scripture as he is a seventh day adventist, I am a fundamental, independent Baptist, we believe on the core principles of faith. Just like Ted Cruz. I think Ted would be a better President and I think Ben might be a good help in a cabinet position or as an advisor.
Sorry for the length, but I wanted to address the religious points of these men as well as the Gleen the nut Beck......
