My view, FWIW....It wasn't until after I read the VERY left leaning book "The Nine" that began to form a very positive view Justice Scalia. After filtering out the spin and

liberal propaganda, I came to realize that despite his almost super intellect, Scalia's view of the Constitution was remarkably simple; The constitution is exactly what is says it is.....PERIOD! The liberal concept of the Constitution being some kind of "living document" is nothing more than an excuse to interpret it to someone's particular political liking and advantage. ie. Chuckie Schumer's recent blathering that the Senate has a (Constitutional) obligation to vote on Scalia's seat despite arguing exactly the opposite when the situation was reverse. My personal favorite was (again Chuckie) Schumer suggesting a default clause in the Constitution that gave Obama the right to "make law" if Congress didn't.

IMO, Scalia loved the Constitution and believed strongly in it. I imagine that he was particularly upset when he found himself sitting on the bench with Sotamayor, a light weight judge and heavy weight advocate. How different from Justice Ginsburg, a true Liberal believer who Scalia for decades, openly expressed his admiration and friendship.

Going forward, I predict it will get ugly. Whether McConnell can somehow find a testicle and keep from voting on yet another left wing advocate remains to be seen. Regardless, I believe the wannabe Constitutional attorney now President, is far from finished trashing, shredding and circumventing our Constitution. IMO, Obama will attempt to place another crony on the Supreme Court by way of a recess appointment. Now this is actually quite easy to block. The Supreme Court has already ruled that "The Senate is in session when the Senate says it is in session." So, while McConnell MAY be able to find a testicle, does he have the brains to NOT CALL A Senate Recess this year?
I have my hope but I also have my doubts.
