I keep hearing that, but why? For his legacy? Maybe he wants his legacy to be as the QB who set an unbreakable record for the most wins. (He's got that record right now, but maybe he wants to have it FOREVER.)
Maybe he wants to make more money.
Maybe he still feels healthy and just wants to keep playing.
I think he should retire when he wants to and not just so others can revel in his glorious exit. Nobody really cares that Elway quit after a superbowl, for instance. Yes, we know he did, but only because the announcers mentioned it yesterday. If they hadn't, I wouldn't have remembered. I do, however, remember some of the records Elway set.
If Manning wants to set some more records, I say more power to him.
