There is no doubt who and what won last night's football game, and it wasn't Peyton Manning.
Do not get me wrong please. I am a Manning fan since his Tennessee days in college football. There has never been a QB with his all of his knowledge of what the other team was dong and make adjustments on the fly at the line of scrimmage like him before, and likely never will be again. And there have been a bunch of excellent QB's ahead of him so that is saying something.
THIS GAME belonged to the Broncos DEFENSE period and end of story as well as game.
The Panthers were going nowhere. Denver's defense outscored the Panther's offense. And, made it hold up.
The victory was the icing on the cake for imo the best overall QB to date to play the game. It's a good time for him to leave while on top.
He would make a GREAT COACH imparting what he knows and teaching other QB's how to actually run their team's offenses.
Sure, Tom Brady has won more super bowls and been to more. He wins with less talent around him with the revolving door of players at England. As a physical QB who just leads and wills his teams to victory, there is none better.
I would choose Tom Brady over Peyton on my NFL team just for his physical skills.
THANK YOU Denver DEFENSE for making last night a memorable game that allowed a GREAT QB who has been great for this game for a long time to be able to have this once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to RETIRE AND LEAVE ON TOP as a fitting tribute to such an amazing career.
Congrats Hall of FAMER Peyton Manning on a career well done!
