Yeah, fighting the company that makes your operating system is probably a losing battle.
When I move to NH, I plan to have one computer running Windows without any internet access... and another I'll use for the internet. The only connection between the two will be via thumb drive.
I may make a serious attempt to do most of my computing on a linux box. Linux is SO much better. Its applications just aren't as good.

Thats just the thing DE the windows 8 computer HAD updates off, It never restarted lastnight either, I think it was trying to load 10. I shut it off before it could.
