From another site...........
I just got back from Social Security and have a question. How can people that never worked in the US collect benefits?
I had to do my bud a solid today as the storms flooded everything.
I took his grandparents to the Social Security office and was there for a few hours.
What appeared to me as Indians from India and a few other cultures filed in and out all day long. What looked like a few Jewish women, judging by their clothing and skin that looks like it has never seen the sun were in there too.
I was chatting up a receptionist (got her number and set up a date for the weekend wink) and she was saying that somehow people can come from other countries and are eligible for SS benefits.
She could not answer why, but we both agreed it won't be there for us and that it is some crooked stuff going on.
There must have been 30 Indian people who apparently never worked a day of their life in the US filing to collect SS.
HOW is that possible?
