I truly believe that the majority of those on public welfare for over ten years, (not those who lost and could not find work from the obama disastrous Keynesian economic experiment) the hard core welfare recipients who have always been, really need to at least WANT to become work ready. MOST likely do not have even a verifiable, sound, high school education. NOT a GED. That's the easy way out. A genuine true 1970's - 1990 style high school education where they were forced to meet minimum standards in reading, writing, math, science and language.
Heck, most college grads don;t even qualify with what garbage and easy courses they take today. Most are illiterate and just plain dumb.
They don't know anything except what some zealot liberal in charge of whatever course they are taking (being a socialist in the modern age) and the majority of high school grads from the 60's and 70's have better educations than today's college grads with bachelor's degrees.
I know. I have interviewed and spoken with them by the hundreds.
I believe firmly that if the welfare recipients truly mastered a good fundamentals high school curriculum they could get gainful employment and get off the public assistance. I would like for them to better themselves. BUT, if they don't want to help themselves and as long as we continue to throw free money and benefits at them, there is no reason for them to take personal accountability....
Just my morning thoughts....
