I am told that DC is the bullseye for the coming storm... but weather.com says that my town... next to Dulles airport and about 15 miles from DC... is supposed to get even more snow than DC. Today and tomorrow, somewhere between 22 and 30 inches should fall... accompanied at times by 50 mph wind.

If the power stays on, it'll be fun. If the power goes out, they say it will probably be off for days. All I can say about that is that I bet I'm better prepared than most of my neighbors.

Hmm. I should probably fill a bathtub. If the power goes out, the pipes will freeze and leave us without water And then I'd need to move the birds into the room with the fireplace. Other than that, I think my family is good to go.
