re: "I wish he would stop saying..."

I believe Trump is a graduate of the Democratic School of Insincerity. He does and says ANYTHING to win.

That's not good. It means he is without scruples. And who knows what he truly intends to do.

That said, we've been living with Presidents who have unAmerican agendas for some time. I think Reagan was the last patriotic President. Before Reagan, there was Carter. But Carter was living proof that 'Trying to improve the country isn't enough. You also have to be competent.'

I have ties to that institution through family members being in school as well as others who live in Lynchburg and attend Thomas Road Baptist Church. My wife's aunt was Jerry Falwell's secretary for decades.

Anyway, if you listen to any audio if Trump pretending to know the Bible and quoting some verse from Second Corinthians, he botched it badly. He could not even differentiate between the BOOK number and chapter in the Bible and the actual verse.

It was a pitiful thing to see and hear.
Trump went to Church with his father as a little boy and heard Norman Vincent Peale. That is the extent of his Bible knowledge. His relationship with GOD and JESUS remains a huge question mark to me.

Anyway, it was embarrassing to hear for someone who claims to be a Bible reader and practitioner thereof...

BTW, please do not construe this to mean I don't like him or am against him. It means exactly what I said and for that reason, I wish he would stop saying things about the Bible when it is blatantly obvious he doesn't know hardly anything to anyone who really does study, read, and believe.
