Chromecast Audio is my favorite new toy of 2016. For about $25 (in a Best Buy promotion), it makes my old stereo wi-fi compatible - able to play any station that's on the internet, as well as youtube audio, AccuRadio (music by category), Pandora, probably a lot more. Good sound quality, too!
I actually bought it right after Christmas, but I had to order a special cable to get it running on my stereo. (Before that, I had it plugged into my son's guitar amp... where it played just fine, believe it or not. There was no receiver at all, though it does sound better going through my receiver and playing in stereo.)
I haven't yet figured out how to get it to work with Spotify. So far, that's the only failing I can report.
