That's why I quit buying american made cars. Same exact reason and have been very happy ever since.
I do not own trucks, only cars. I also do NOT waste money on cars by purchasing really expensive ones that are supposed to be "luxury" cars. I have not had any complaints with with my current new vehicle or my last one which was over ten years old and running perfectly.

I sold it in 20 minutes. And I got better than KBB price for it as well.
1996 was last year I bought anything automotive from an American car company and have stayed out of the fix it shops ever since...

...speakin of lawn mowers, I got one of them John Deere riding mowers. It is a POS. It's the third one I have owned and they were all POS's. Ya would think I was smarter than that, but then again I have owned about a dozen chevy's.
