...I dunno, ya really can't tell from the video. What ya see is one thing, but there is no audio with it. Ya don't know what the cop was told on the radio and nobody has told his side of it. That being said, I don't believe he was afraid for his life. Sixteen shots sounds more like he lost his temper. Could possibly be murder, but it might be manslaughter which still means he is guilty but not of murder.
...do know one thing though. If the shooting was justified, it doesn't matter if ya empty ya gun. Most folks who have never shot anyone don't realize what the pucker factor is when ya dropping the hammer on somebody.
...then the cop could just be an asshole. There are a lot of those around. Had some that worked with me who loved to just beat the dog squeeze out of people for little or no reason. I had words with one of them who was gonna take a prisoner from me and kick his ass. I offered to shove my .357 up their asses and squeeze off a couple of rounds each. The end result was that I got transferred to work inside the jail on the midnight shift. I quit after that.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
