LOL! As I wrote more than two weeks ago:

"Therefore, watch for Democrats to attempt to disassociate Obama from the term "Obamacare." More and more, we'll be seeing it referred to as the "Affordable Care Act." What Obama once embraced, he'll now discourage. Just watch. And then the unthinking LIVerals will fall in line with the new name."

It's already happened.

Obamacare Then, Affordable Care Act Now

The term “Obamacare” has largely disappeared from the mouths of Democrats as the president’s health care reform law has gone from a rallying cry to a political grenade.

President Obama once said he embraced the phrase on the 2012 campaign trail, telling supporters, “I do care.” As recently as Nov. 8, Obama predicted to a laughing crowd in New Orleans that his political opponents would stop using the term once the law became popular.

“I know health care is controversial, so there’s only going to be so much support we get on that on a bipartisan basis — until it’s working really well, and then they’re going to stop calling it Obamacare,” he said. “They’re going to call it something else.”

However, it has seemed to change names with the Democrats instead as the law’s popularity has slumped to new lows in the wake of Obama’s broken promises, rising premiums, insurance cancellations and a disastrous rollout. Obama’s approval rating has also plummeted as a result.

During an apologetic press conference Nov. 14, Obama referred to his law as the Affordable Care Act 12 times but did not say “Obamacare” once. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who has referred to the law as Obamacare in the past, told Meet the Press host David Gregory that she “always” referred to it as the Affordable Care Act during an interview Sunday, and other Democrats are backing off the term as well.

NOW toxic? No. Maobama has been toxic since he first slithered out of Chicago's primordial political sludge. But I do understand Krauthammer's point. It's going to be tough for campaigning Democrats when every appearance by their leader, every mention of his name, evokes memories in voters' minds of his despised healthcare law.

Therefore, watch for Democrats to attempt to disassociate Obama from the term "Obamacare." More and more, we'll be seeing it referred to as the "Affordable Care Act." What Obama once embraced, he'll now discourage. Just watch. And then the unthinking LIVerals will fall in line with the new name. In a year, nobody outside of talk radio hosts and yours truly will be referring to the obamanation by that name anymore.

Krauthammer On Obama's Apology: "The President Now Is Toxic"

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: The president now is toxic. The thing is called Obamacare. There's no running away from it. It's got his name on it. You see the president, you think about the policy and you know it's a disaster. And the problem for the Democrats is, they are hostage to a bunch of geeks working right now late into the night trying to fix a system which is not just the glitches we talked about. The architecture, the underlying structure of it is wrong.

I think the likelihood of it being fixed, working like you would expect from any normal commercial private website normally by December 1 is pretty small. And the pressure on the White House will become irresistible. If it isn't up and running smoothly and perfectly, they're going to start with postponements and then the whole thing starts to unravel.
