And the markets soar. If that doesn't make it clear that we've got a scam of an economy, what does? The stock markets are soaring because the Fed is creating money, not because American companies are competitive and prospering.
The thing is, what the Fed is actually doing is taking prosperity from the rest of the world and depositing it in the U.S.. That will work, too, if the rest of the world permits it. But do you think they will for very long? Eventually, they will retaliate and our markets and economy will plummet while our prices soar. That's how currency wars work. (This is the third currency war the world has seen in the last hundred years. None of them have been pretty.)
What I've described won't unfold quickly. Ten years, maybe twenty, and will probably escalate into ongoing conventional warfare too. I pity future generations (including myself since I'm 19 and recently enlisted.)
