CTJ,
I deeply apologize for not responding or even seeing your query until just now.
My energy levels are not very long and so I view things as I am able to muster some energy.
The lower Lumbar area, L1- S1, which comprise six vertebrae are the culprits of my constant and non-stop pain in my low back on the right side of center.
The reason for this is a narrowing and closure of an opening of several of these lower vertebrae right above the nerves which are supposed to have those openings for clearance so they do not get rubbed on, irritated, and pinched.
One of the procedures done is called a laminectomy. That opens up that space and this was done on four of them. The discs were scraped and as well for loose material.
The operation was a success. Recovery is what it is, slow, and letting you know you had surgery right there.
I am trying now to walk straight upright at the mall more than a mile. It is a real challenge let me assure you.
Each week it gets a little better but I have to work at it, which is what Therapy is all about.
Thanks,
micro...
