a consortia comprised of local tow truck operators

LOL!

I'm pleased to report that our power came back on a few hours ago, just after I returned home from waiting in line at one of the few open gas stations for generator fuel. Oh well. It'll keep (with the proper additive).

All the fuel here has 10% ethanol these daze, but I don't think small engines such as the generator like it very much. It wasn't so long ago that your choice was leaded or unleaded (white) gas. Of course, that was when gas was under a buck per gallon.

Those were the daze! Believe it or not, it is still illegal to pump your own gas in 'Jersey.

Unbeknownst to many, the city has lowered the road under that bridge by 6 to 8 inches repeatedly.

Unconfirmed sources have stated that a consortia comprised of local tow truck operators and big rig repair shops, surreptitiously repaves the road each time back to the requisite 11'8".
