Here in some parts of NooYawk and NooJoisey (you know, Sopranoland), 'mouth-breathers' and 'mouth-breeders' would be pronounced identically anyway. Something like mowt' breeduz. Think Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinnie.

Then there is this 'mouth-breeder' video for which I have no explanation or comment:

And finally, from the "Can't Touch Dis" department...

LOL - nothing like 'rubbing it in', eh ?

Had already acknowledged what has become the common derogatory .... still say mine makes a hell of a lot more sense.

Regional variations aren't always reflected in google searches, nor in what becomes common on the net.

What I grew up with was the term 'mouth breeders' - and we all understood what it meant.

Slack jawed idgits as 'mouth breathers' - yeah, guess I can see it - but the term is kinda silly. Everybody has to breathe through their mouths at times.

I'll stick with 'mouth breeders' - and just smile when people say 'Hunh ????' !!! *w*
