Well, he got HIGHER and FASTER - so, two goals were met.

Same thought occurred to me after posting about the free fall time. He didn't take that long to get to ground after chute deployment, so reckon he was running out of airspace quick - which the fast part ate in a big gulp.

So, hyup - agreed - mutually exclusive - unless he gets a LOT higher ... and then he'll have to worry about re-entry problems. *LOL*

Btw: At his max speed - he was chewing up altitude at a rate close to a mile every 4-5 seconds.

...somebody said that he had two goals. He wanted to come down faster than anyone else had and he wanted to freefall longer than anyone else. It would seem to me that either one of these would preclude the other.
