It's probably very simple. They check the referrer to see if you came from one of their pages. Copy the url of the picture ( http://www.imao.us/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Obama-Biden-sign.jpg ), then go to the IMAO home page ( http://www.imao.us ). This sets the referrer and you can then paste the address of the image in the address field of your browser et voila--the picture will be displayed. Of course, once it is in your browser's cache, you can revisit my post ( #msg-756778 ) and it will display properly.

Thanks, Due. I have tried to figure out why the links don't work, but have not a clue.

When I search the site's homepage, sometimes I find the picture on the home page, sometimes not. When I find them, the links are as you have published. Apparently the efforts to prevent 'hot links' to images on a site have gone another step in disabling technology. Seems rather silly to me - but that's what some sites are now doing - and the numbers appear to be growing.
