What is NOT stated is that the mom (or her lawyer) had to get the REPORTING NEIGHBOUR's name from a FOI demand (note i state that as a demand, rather than a request - because the bastards in government NEVER release anything like that with just a request. It has to be in the form of a demand letter - citing the specific law and legal requirements COMPELLING discovery.)

One of the MAJOR problems in today's society is the completely UNCONSTITUTIONAL practice of the 'police' (aka nanny state) HIDING behind 'anonymous reports'. Let's see - there is an Amendment in Our USA Constitution, I do believe, in the Bill of RIGHTS section stating that we have the RIGHT to 'face our accusers'. Yeah - I know the bullshit argument that the 'lawyers' and so-called courts [of non-justice] are supposedly the only people able to properly 'interpret' the Constitution, and that RIGHT 'only applies when you are in court on criminal charges' - ie. only after you have been arrested, charged, detained, and forced to spend thousands of dollars on decent 'legal counsel. Howsomever, THAT is NOT true - and was NOT the FULL intent and scope of the amendment.

JUST SAY NO TO THIS 'ANONYMOUS REPORTING' BULLSHIT - it is one of the PRIME HALLMARKS of fascist governments, police states, and .... the way our country has gone downhill dramatically in my lifetime.

More nanny state (and meddling neighbor) madness:

Tammy Cooper, a stay-at-home mom in a nice Texas subdivision, had an unwelcome run in with the law.

She was arrested for letting her kids play outside, "unsupervised." You can watch a YouTube video of the Texas newscast here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMcGF_8muHs

A neighbor called the cops on her after spotting Cooper's two children, ages 6 and 9, riding scooters in their cul-de-sac. The police responded and hauled the mom to jail--in handcuffs.

The charges were dropped, but not after Cooper spent 18 hours in jail.

The Huffington Post reports that this incident happened earlier this month. And now the mom is ready to sue. She's suing the police department, the arresting officer and her neighbor.

It should be noted that not only is the charge of "child endangerment" completely ridiculous, but Cooper was WATCHING her children the whole time. Cooper told the media that she was in her front yard the entire time, sitting in a lawn chair, and watching her children.
