Republican blogs are buzzing with speculation about the identity of the unnamed speaker scheduled for tomorrow night at the Convention. So far, I haven't seen anyone guess that it will be George W. Bush. In 2008, the candidates went out of their way to dissociate themselves from the 43rd president.

I think however that Mittens may have invited Dubya to heal that wound. Just a thought. It would get right in the face of the blame-Bush paradigm of the Obamunists.

That said, the prevailing opinion is that the mystery speaker will be Clint Eastwood. That wouldn't make my day.
