Today was a totally wasted day. This went on with both Spyzooka and Webroot up. I also run the Windows firewall, amongst other stuff.
THis morning I noticed the speaker volume was again muted. Then, every time I clicked on a desktop icon to the internet, it told me it wasn't found, I'd click OK, and IE would come up fine to the shortcut link.
Then, baboom, a Webroot message came up that my [Windows] firewall was down. Low and behold, it was. I always have it on with no exceptions checked. I was down all day running diagnostics and such, then I couldn't get my wireless connection up. That took an eternity. Unbelievable.
Question, going back to that bug spyzooka caught on the password hashing tables -- could someone figure out your user names and passwords from something on the pc, even though I don't store them?
p.s. Forgot to mention everything went into high cpu. task mgr hit 30%!
Felt like it must be a human and it was an in-your-face kind of thing, his or her Sunday fling. Like I know you installed sfw, it doesn't matter, you can't shake me.
Thus far tognight, cpu and memory usage are just fine...
