Hi Linda!

Yes, you are absolutely correct in your conclusion. One product alone is not enough.

I use Microsoft Essentials PLUS two others, one being Malwarebytes. I also do ONLINE scans, independent of what is stored on my computer and they are free to do.

Good luck with keeping it clean. It is work.

the best,

micro... Very Happy

Last night I shut down my Internet connection and ran Webroot as I turned in. This morning it said no threats were found.

I ran Spyzooka this morning, first thing, and it found four threats -- two tracking cookies, two registry entries. The registry entries said:

W32 Worm AutoIt [Trojan Horse]
Registry

W32 Trojan-Proxy MSIL [Trojan-Proxy]
Registry SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Security Center\\UacDisableNotify

When I clicked Take Action, it says to remove W32.Worm.AutoIt to reboot and run Spyzooka in safe mode.

Guess I'll have to email Webroot, but I don't think one product ever is enough.
