...I am surprised that the gubmint hasn't had the Constitution translated into Latin and then destroyed all the other copies. That way they could just tell us what it said and we would have to take their word for it. Kinda like the Vatican what?

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Many, many thoughts on these issues, Due - still fermenting them.

Marbury v. Madison - where it went wrong.

Legal system - the idiocy of lawyers 'interpreting' laws that other lawyers write, being 'judged' by other 'lawyers' - who hold themselves above the law, and above other people. The absolute corruption of a system that holds 'contempt of court' to be a crime depriving us of ALL our rights as enumerated in the "Bill of Rights" .... no trial, no jury of peers, no confronting one's accusor - go to jail, go directly to jail, do not Pass Go - deposit $200 for a phone call that you will not be allowed .... SICK.

Bottom line summary: Absolute Power has corrupted.

It is not just the 'judicial system' that needs chains - as Machiavelli termed it - but MOST of the current system of governance and 'law enforcement' in this country. BTW: Your post on 'law enforcement' was spot on the money.

The sister problem of 'absolute power' is the types of people that it attracts to 'government service'. That appears to be an intrinsic, insurmountable problem to me - going to the core morality of the majority of people today ... or, more correctly, the core morality of those in power, and the vast majority of those that seek such corrupting power.

Dissolution ? Election ? - Neither work.

Founding Fathers - yes, some feet of clay there, but much better educated men than of today - Their solution: "Constitutionality is the Realm of THE STATES and STATE LEGISLATURES .... not of some power seizing (well over 65 years) group of seven despots." Well, the Civil War (illegal and unConstitutional) pretty well cut the nuts off that option.

Balance of Powers - exec, legis, judicial ????? .... hardly - it is nothing but wolverines guarding the hen house - far more vicious than foxes. All of them - a bunch of self-serving bastards.

It takes a good revolution to clean out the dirt and filth ... which is soon replaced by even more dirt and filth.

Have Dennis Pager's "Still the Best Hope" right beside me. Possibly my attitude will improve when I finally crack it open and start devouring it. My dad has sent it to me, and strongly recommends it as a POSITIVE book.
