A glimse into the mind of an infomaniac. (Please enunciate that carefully. ;-)) So I'm listening to Radio Paradise ( http://www.radioparadise.com ), one of my fave internet stations, and I hear this tune by the Breeders called Driving on 9. When I hear something that I like, I generally try to find it on YouTube to see a live performance and explore some of the band's other stuff. http://xrl.us/bnbhch (Link to www.youtube.com) First, I notice that the Breeders version is a cover of the tune by Ed's Redeeming Qualities http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7NncQbvtao Ok. Back to the Breeders version, 'cuz I like the female lead vocal... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0qIxeDHGXw
Not pleased with the audio quality, I load up the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLKUfBLJVqE This comment caught my eye:
tDCS, 9 volts applied at the side of the head affects GABA neurons, the same neurons that cause tranquilizer as well as ethyl alcohol response, reversing the polarity could reduce the effects of drunk driving. Driving on 9 could be the theme song of electrosobriety while driving Huh? Whatzis? tDCS? ...and I'm done with the vid and off to Bing on one monitor and Google on another to see what this is all about.
