Gotta consider the target audience, which in the case of the Muppets is kids. Put yourself in a childish mindset and the Muppets cover of S&SF is hilarious.

Speaking of covers, sometimes the cover is superior to the original. Here's an original and very popular tune by Gotye with guest vocalist Kimbra:

Now here's an incredible cover by Walk Off the Earth--an extremely creative and talented group of musicians:

WOTE is a You Tube phenomenon, and they always look like they're having a blast

I remember that post ... a lot of EXCELLENT performances of many Sousa Marches !

I am going to HAVE to listen to the trombone version - just to hear how they handle the piccolo part - that ought to be a hoot.

Bill Tapia .... thanks.

Some music just really hits me wrong, Due - stuff that doesn't bother others as far as the 'sounds' are concerned - that muffet version - still, truly terrible. Not a matter of 'lightening up' ... it just plain stunk ... it COULD have been funny - but appeared to be just 'dialed it in' ta me ....
