It's a digital rendering from the original color separation plate. The camera took three filtered exposures in rapid succession on a single plate. The images were displayed by projecting monochrome transparencies with a three-lens magic lantern and filtered light sources.

OK, Due - trying to figure this one out ... The original was not in color ... But their catalog lists 3 bw frames of color separation - which WOULD have been possible with bw photography, even at that time. Is that what this is ? Or, has the original bw simply been 'colorized' using any of several techniques that are available ?
