Did you know that Constitution was mostly a compromised document from the various delegates to that convention in Philadelphia and that contrary to long held belief, it was not James Madison who wrote it?

He was there, he had some influence, but not as much as John Rutledge from South Carolina, who also signed the Declaration as a younger man.

This is a fascinating read and I wish I would get through it faster but find my time limited and so only read in bed right before I fall asleep!

Very interesting book, The Summer of 1787, which is about the coming together of the Constitution.
