It wasn't available for free, Linda. You had to pay a fee to access it. That is what that wiki article points out - the NUMEROUS legal contracts/associations that SCRBD has with various PUBLISHING HOUSES.

Do you think for an iota of a second (rhetorical) that Random House et.al. would be using SCRBD to publish their e-books if it were not TOTALLY LEGIT ?

Hardly.

I don't post references just to be posting - I post them so that you can get correct information.

ok, ok, lol, but if I wrote a book, I wouldn't want it to be available for free until sales dropped off, which I supposed is the case with Hagarism. *S*
