Fear includes, but is not limited to awe, respect, leg trembling actual fear.
God IS to be FEARED, and loved.
That FEAR is the ONLY restraint on man's intrinsic evil nature.
That is scriptural - both in Christianity and Judaism.
Your quotation is MUCH more acceptable when it is 'the love of Christ' (which includes the HEALTHY fear of G_d) ... verses FEAR the evil of men - not 'fear of God'.
