Oh, thank you. I didn't catch the mistranslation part, I thought the awe was micro's adaptation. Reverential awe, etc., I can deal with.

This isn't the first mistranslation I've run into. It seems like a better job could and should be done now.

You're not getting it, Linda. The word 'fear' as we generally use it is more or less a mistranslation of the Hebrew.

The “fear of the Lord” (Yirat Adonai) does not denote a cringing terror of God but a reverential awe. It is a form of devotion, a consciousness of the sacredness and mystery of God and has nothing whatsoever to do with being afraid.
