SpeedUpMyPC software, which I think is terrific

...all this free software designed to speed up your pc contains the very programs ya want to get rid of. They track everything ya do and eat up valuable computer resources. Go down to your local computer store and buy yourself Norton Utilities.

Public Service Announcement

My PC has been slow for a long time, but not necessarily sitting at high CPU. It finally it came to a head. It was a corrupted application that interfaces with my wireless router. Re-installed the router and it cleared right up.

The joke's on me, since I run SpeedUpMyPC software, which I think is terrific. Ya see, when running your cursor over the icon in the tray, it would say 100% Internet. There I thought it was talking signal strength. Nooooo, it was utilization. It was running 100% with nothing going on.

I like that utility, when you bring up the application, you can free RAM and do a deep RAM recovery and see various other things. Good program.

So if you get such symptoms and run the usual virus scans, clean cache and such and they don't work, there's something else to consider -- your internet interface....
