OMG and RIP, indeed. I met him at the Mightier Pen Awards two years ago. I didn't speak with him, I listened in a small group around him at the break. He was so much more than can be described. His goal at that time was to bring down the NYT and such to re-institute relatively honest journalism. He wanted journalists to report the facts, not pontificate their views [bias]. He is a loss. I hope his org continues on. One of his greatest achievements, the Huffington Post.
I got his book and the audio tape at Borders for a buck, one of the ones I probably wouldn't have bothered to get as I have so much in the queue. But I started to listen to the audio book in the car. It was enough to drive you to drink, but told me when he got off the ego trip, the book is a must read. He pins the techniques of the Left to a T. Wild. A shame he's lost.
Off'd, a new word. Sure appears to fit, you're probaly right. Wouldn't put it past his enemies. Wow, this is bad news... Mention on his website, too.
