I guess you haven't been paying attention.

Let me put it simply.

Our economy is unsustainable and the dollar is going to be significantly devalued. Other than Ron Paul, the Republican candidates have no viable strategies to deal with this crisis. Historically, desperate politicians faced with an economic crisis turn to war as a mechanism to consolidate power and maintain control as it all comes apart.

Ergo, war and economic collapse is inevitable, not necessarily in that order.
