In Spartanburg, South Carolina today, Ron Paul admitted that he found some of the comments from his Republican rivals' disturbing in last night's presidential debate.
"Some of the comments last night were actually frightening to me." said Ron Paul, suggesting that his opponents want to put criminals and terror suspects in prison without due process in the courts.
Paul repeated his criticism of the National Defense Appropriation Act, warning that it "codified the power of the president to arrest any American citizen he deems as a threat."
"In America, we might be suspects, but we are not terrorists," Paul said, "Even if it is a bad guy you want him to get the due process, that's what we want, that's what the Revolution was fought for, if we give up that we give up a big hunk of what has made America great."
