Blue Republicans and Far Left? Hmmmmmmm. Seems mutually exclusive. I thought until you said Far Left that Maybe they were Blue Dogs that went over the border.
Do you suppose people like Tariq Rammadan, enemies of state banned from the US and allowed in by the Obama administration, with Hillary's support, will be swept up? If so, we should have parties like the Palestinians did after 9/11? He's not an American, though.
There is a big concern with terror recruiting of Americans, especially in the prisons. Then, there's all those Islamist training camps they seem to like to allow running, which are training a paramilitary cadre, including bomb experts. I wish they would shut it all down, they seem to be creating a higher likelihood of what they are trying to prevent.
Spengler says the bad boys in the Mid East will be all the more dangerous as they go into crisis through demographic decline, which most of them, including Iran, are going through now. In other words, he believes they will feel they have nothing to lose and go for it. We are in peril.
I Suspect this is manifest in the Saudis deciding not to drill for oil. They want that $100B for jihad. That's arguable, naturally.
This act has many things going for it. But, there is also room for abuse, like framing people, which I suspect happens. Perhaps not regularly... But in the wrong hands, like the communists in charge of our country today, this is worrisome, as they will go for political prisoners.
So much for truth, justice and the American way.
Pape's findings don't matter. Yes, it's valid they go after what they call occupiers. But are we occupiers? We do not occupy/rule their countries, we do business with them. Getting rid of the occupiers is another way to state the jihad, it's a recruiting tool. The jihad is against infidels, not just countries doing business in the Middle East or occupying it. It's not going away if we left. There's no way to turn them off (unless the powers that be have decided a global meltdown will do the trick. Would that work? Perhaps. My brain isn't to the point of figuring that one out.
Rambling on now, but is Spain an occupier? I don't think al Qaeda's mindeset is condusive to conditions on the ground today. Al Qaeda, the MB and the rest of the Islamists are going for the brass rin. They are doing what they said, taking over apostate (in their eyes) regimes, consolidating power and going after the infidels from within and violently when it suits them.
When we first defeated the Taliban, we left al Qaeda alone in Pakistan and they took over the Taliban and now we have a mess. THat's what sanctuaries do for you.
Ron Paul would further our enemies plans.
