One of the most talked about features on the Apple iPhone 4S is its intelligent personal assistant, Siri. Users simply speak a command or question directly to their phone, and Siri responds with an answer. Siri will tell you everything from what the weather is like outside, the closest salon or restaurant, and even the meaning of life. Users have been testing the limitations of the voice-enabled personal assistant with all kinds of questions, but one question it obscures is where to find an abortion clinic. People on the Web want an explanation. If you're in Washington, D.C., and ask Siri where the closest abortion clinic is, it'll direct you to an antiabortion Crisis Pregnancy Center in Landsdowne, Virginia, instead of a Planned Parenthood within the district. Asked the same question in New York, and Siri says there are no abortion clinics to be found. However, there are a number of controversial questions that Siri will give suggestions for, including where to get breast implants, where to find an illegal escort service, and even where to get Viagra. Some bloggers are wondering if Steve Jobs had something to do with this. Jobs, who was adopted at birth, was once quoted as saying he wanted to meet his mother because he was, "glad [he] didn't end up as an abortion." In social media, people are taking sides on the controversial issue. On Twitter some are calling Siri's responses "sad" and saying "shame on Apple," but others are saying it's "awesome." Apple has not commented on the issue.
