Our two-party system is a joke. Ron Paul is the only candidate who embodies my own conservative, constitutionalist views, but you are right that he has no chance of becoming the Republican nominee.

The Republicans clearly didn't want the presidency in 2008; McCain wasn't even eligible based upon his birthplace and a strict interpretation of the Constitution. The fix is more than likely already in for 2012, and it probably doesn't really matter who presides over the collapse of the dollar and the beginning of WWIII.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Ron Paul has any chance of being the nominee. Im not even sure the republican party wants to nominate anyone who can beat obama. Whoever gets elected is going to be leading at the time of a great upheaval of some kind. Repubs might not want to have the helm when we hit the iceberg.

Sometimes I say I am a republican, but what I really am is a conservative. I am more or less forced into the republican camp because they seem to be the lesser of two evils.
