Well, after watching tonight's debate, it's painfully obvious that if Obama doesn't lead the US to war against Iran, his successor surely will.

Think about where Eisenhower was coming from. He led the Allies to victory over tyranny in Europe; newly created atomic weapons had produced a grand finale to the Japanese empire; and the war against the Chinese in Korea would end in a stalemate three months after Ike made this comment in the first months of his presidency.

It was time for disengagement...time to clear the rubble of Europe and Asia and replenish the stockpiles of weaponry. Soon, another generation of Americans would be wasted in the jungles of Vietnam.

We would consider Ike a RINO today for his domestic policies.
