Wonder if they use them here. So far, we've handled x-class flares pretty well. They are corrosive to even buried pipes in conduits if I recall correctly. Then, we have a lot of stuff overhead. Why dpon't they muse wires with built in faraday cages over the cladding? Too expensive, I presume. I will have to ask a friend about this, how protected the US is.
