Cutting presidential pay is just a symbolic gesture, and I'm confident that a Ron Paul presidency would be an exemplar of frugality. He's been consistently faithful to the Constitution and the notion that Congress SERVES the public for the three decades he's been in politix. Indeed, when he first took his House seat RP opted out of the overly generous Congressional pension plan. He said "To participate in a pension plan at taxpayers expense would for me be hypocritical and immoral."

As for your other 'suggestions', why don't you correspond with the RP campaign and tell 'em directly? I'm assuming based upon RP's past statements that the percentages are a starting point and that the intent is for further cuts.

Limits on unemployment ins. and welfare limitations are items that will have to be legislated. I'm pretty sure that RP voted his usual 'NO' when the increases were passed in the House.

"... EPA ... a 30 percent cut"

Should be cut by 90%

"The federal workforce ... reduced by 10 percent"

Make that AT LEAST 30%

"president’s pay ... cut to $39,336 — ..."

That is fine BUT limit his spending for staff etc. too.

"block-granting some big entitlements"

Put shorter time limits on unemployment insurance and limit welfare to a fixed dollar amount for families for LIFE.
