Cookie encryption is good, Linda, but you have no control over this. The cookies are sent to your computer by a website, and can be read only by that website unless your system is hacked. Because of security concerns, more and more websites are encrypting their cookies.

Essentially, the cookie process is and should be invisible to you. If cookies are encrypted, that means that the site that originated 'em is doing the right thing to protect you.

How very interesting. Remember we had the discussion on file encryption in Outlook being the default? Something new happened on my system, it is encrypting cookies all of a sudden.

Anyone have an idea as to how that could have occurred and how to turn it off?

I'm thinking maybe they are Chrome cookies, but not sure....
