Foxnews needs to get MUCH better correspondents ... AND editors.
Example:
It also asks for all documents and communications referring or relating to the murder of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Agent Jaime Zapata, including any correspondence outlining the details of Zapata's mission at the time he was murdered.
A subpoena does NOT 'ask' for a damn thing - it requires production of listed items.
So the above:
It also requires the production of all documents ....
This is BAD also:
Congressional investigators are also demanding ....
Problem: Investigators can 'demand' any damn thing they want - THAT has NO legal significance whatsoever - and is dismissive (by most readers also) as nothing but 'whining for information' ....
Congressional investigators [b]have also subpoenaed ..... MUCH, MUCH better.
And AGAIN - in the same blooming article:
The subpoena asks for correspondence that Justice Department officials had with the White House about the gun trafficking operation, as well as what information was shared by Justice officials in Mexico.
Repetitive of the same wishy-washy language originally objected to - better this way:
In addition, the subpoena demands that Justice Department officials provide all correspondence ...
WORDS HAVE MEANINGS - and the WAY WORDS ARE USED is extremely important. Foxnews did its readers a HUGE disservice by improperly portraying the actual significance of the subpoena - and such mis-portrayal can ONLY be deemed as intentional when FOXNEWS also includes the idiotic political rhetoric of Elijah Cummings (the top Democrat on the House oversight committee) calling this SERIOUS JUDICIAL PROCESS a 'stunt ... a deep sea fishing expedition.'
Fair and Balanced .... MY ASS - what a bunch of pantywaisted milquetoasts.
