Bill Quick pulls no punches...
The Hill’s Floor Action ( http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/house/183069-house-rejects-temporary-spending-bill-over-fema-funding )
The House stunned Republican leaders Wednesday by rejecting a temporary spending bill that would have funded the government through Nov. 18.
…The defeat was a stinging loss for Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), who pitched the measure to his conference as the lowest spending number they could get.
It must be quite a shock to Biz-As-Usual-Boner to find that his caucus includes Republicans with actual principles who are intent on doing what they believe they were elected to do, and in so doing, represent their constituents instead of Gentry GOP mandarins like John Boehner.
Shit Sandwich RINOs can’t understand my flat refusal to buy into the nightmares they like to spin as the results of my refusing to vote for whatever lesser evil (but still evil) they line up for my rubber stamp. “But you’re just give the election to Obama!” they squeal. “Fuck you,” I reply. “If you are that worried about it, give me a candidate I want to vote for.”
And now Boehner is getting a big “Fuck you” from principled conservatives who are buying his bullshit about “The best deal we can get.” (Even though it increases the deficit and ignores entirely what the Tea Party people were elected to accomplish. “You want us to vote for your bills?” they tell him. “Then give us a bill we - and our constituents - would want to vote for.”
If something can’t go on, it won’t. And one of the ways it comes to a screeching halt is when people of principle simply stand up and say “No.”
I’ve done it with voting for RINOs. When they tell me I have to vote for a Romney or some other Shit Sandwich, I just smile and say, “No.” When they throw their tantrums and threaten the end of the world, I smile and say, “No.” Eventually, it will sink in that I mean it. At that point, they have to see if they can get their way without me. They haven’t had a lot of luck with that. And they won’t have a lot of luck in keeping on their inside the beltway, back-scratching, gentry GOP, Ruling Class business as usual games if principled conservatives keep right on saying no, and remain unwavering.
They’re all addicted to the drugs of power, perks, and money. And you know what Nancy Reagan said about drugs.
Just say no.
