Bill of Rights extension to a STATE REQUIREMENT by the 14th Ammendment

The previous post gives the INCORRECT impression that the Bill of Rights is extended to the States only by an idiot judicial decree.

This is obviously incorrect when one reads and understands the VERY CLEAR LANGUAGE of the relevant section of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Section 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

It doesn't take any idiot judge to 'translate' or 'apply' that text. The intent of the Amendment, and it's wording are ENTIRELY clear.
