Micro - we have a presence in Saudi Arabia as an 'invited guest' and 'sometime guardian' there.

Why - on both counts ?

Ask yourself - In what ways does United States Military presence increase the National Security of the United States ?

Then ask yourself - In what ways does this presence decrease the National Security of the United States ?

Now - Ask yourself - Why should we be the guardians of Saudi Arabia ?

If you can look me in the eye and honestly give me an answer to those three questions that makes sense, that outweighs the FREEDOMS that our soldiers SURRENDER TO A FOREIGN POWER while 'stationed' in these islamo-fascist regimes, then we can have a discussion about 'understanding the very real threat of Islam.'

Yes - I have lambasted Ron Paul in the past for his statements. Due and I have been round and round about them - but to state that Ron Paul does NOT 'understand the very real threat of Islam' - that is a statement that I can't go along with.

The REAL question that must be addressed is this:

Are we, with our U.S. Military Forces, doing ANYTHING that honestly addresses that threat at its source - or do the things we are doing actually aid and abet the enemy - put a window dressing of providing more security - while actually being nothing but a carnage spewing, young man killing smoke screen that hides the ways that the 'very real threat of Islam' is accomplishing their aims and objectives ?

Gauntlet down. Words intentionally inflammatory - out of the heat of anger - sometimes we can 'refine' a bit of truth and clarity.

Professor,
In my opinion only, the only message that came out loud and clear in those statements from Congressman Paul is that while he have a very good handle on the economic leadership needed to be President, he really hasn't a clue regarding the enemy.

The United States has a presence in Saudi Arabia as an invited guest and sometime guardian there.

The real problem is the CULT, not the U.S. military base which is in several places in that part of the world, including the Sea as you well know.

Ron Paul chooses to stay ignorant regarding Muslim Islaamic goals that extremists and non-extremists alike believe to their very cores, which means they are a threat, a real threat, to anyone who does not accept their brand of religion.

I was amazed that Paul was as ignorant as he was and even more amazed that he actually opened his mouth a second time and made it even worse.

Paul is a a good candidate on one count and a bad choice for me when it comes to understanding the very real threat of Islam.

Just my opinion and I am sure yours is different but I just wanted to share mine publicly as well.

The best to you sir!

micro....
