I generally use either gmail or Opera's built-in mail client, but you might want to try Mozilla's Thunderbird. It was originally written when Netscape took the mail client out of their browser and is maintained the same way as Firefox.

Reliable and has all the bells and whistles.

...I am currently running windows 7 and don't like that collosal and useless "windows mail". Outlook express was thoroughly efficient and did not fill up your hard drive nor did the power company have to put another generator online when ya tried to open it up. Sadly something so simple and efficient lacked enough bells and whistles to please someone in management so it's not available for windows 7. Ya got any recommends?

Video Editing!!!
If ya happens to remember Windows Moviemaker it's not in Windows 7 either, but it is available for windows vista. I downloaded it and installed it on my Windows 7 pc and it works just fine.
