I didn't come up with anything on google, but this ome says they already have 1,000 Abrams tanks:

Maybe a search of the Defense Appropriations committee (or whatever the proper name is) website would show something. Or, a search on the site where they keep full text copies of all the bills. I guess something like that could be a line item anywhere.

Another thought, give your Congressman's office a call....

The Obama administration had orchestrated the sale of of 125 M1A1 Abrams tanks (latest generation--top of the line) to Egypt in early July. Congress had 30 days to approve or disapprove the transaction, but I can't find any reference to a vote in a quick look. http://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2011/07/18/2011-18011/36b1-arms-sales-notification âˆ†âˆ†
