No, I would say that the impeachment of Clinton was, at best, a 'false flag' operation. Run to test the limits of the moral bankruptcy of the simpleton majority in this country - successfully run.
A DEMOCRACY - republic or otherwise, has one basic, over-riding requirement - one that our 'Founding Fathers' possessed. And that is - a moral center - a respect for other human beings, for their lives, for their possessions, for their marriages. That is lacking in MOST of the United States today.
That is what the 'ptb' wished to see - the real depth of the depravity that exists today - for with sufficient depth - they will succeed.
I would say rather that the FIRST SHOT in this coming revolution was fired by the American Electorate in the election and re-election of Ronald Reagan to the office of President of the United States .... and that the second shot was more than two decades later, with the nomination of Sarah Palin as VP running mate to the POS called John McCain.
That second shot has had reverberations - with the Tea Party coming to the fore - because NEITHER political party in this country comes anywhere close to the grass roots of the Tea Party. The rhino's and repubs make noises about espousing the same thing - but, when push comes to shove, their actions have ALWAYS betrayed the truth of the corruption of the current republican party. The 'democrat party' is beyond any hope - having been co-opted before even the first communist leader of this country was elected - Richard M. Nixon. (Yes, a communist - what else do you call 'wage and price' controls ? )
Always keep in mind that SUCCESSFUL revolutions have NEVER required the support (or even come out of) 'the majority of the people'. The American War for Independence was started by a decidedly minor percentage of the population - some estimate less than 20%. Battle field statistics bear this out - where only 10% of the soldiers are actually doing the real fighting.
