Thank you, Micro.

Currently, my backup system of choice is Acronis - which I have hammered in testing (exhaustive) to make damn sure it does what it claims to do. It is a commercial grade product and has some features that are quite necessary for me.

The testing is important to me - have been burned too many times by things that don't quite work as advertised - or don't have pathways for migrating between slightly different setups. Acronis does some of those things one wouldn't think of .... until one needs that capability.

I will take a look at the one you are recommending - it may be good (ie. effective) for certain niche needs in my consulting.

Just wanted you to know that I purchased it and have used it already.
It is flawless and so easy to use.

I suggest reading the PDF file on the "Start Smart" file because it is SHORT and also very helpful. You will be amazed at the simplicity.

When I installed it on the computer, it immediately recognized the added blank, non-partitioned and non-formatted new hard drive.

It then asked if I wanted to backup onto that hard drive. I clicked yes.

About 8 minutes later a dialogue box popped up and said it had completed he backup and it also formatted the drive and made the entire drive a primary partition.
It then asks if you would like to automatically schedule a backup.

I said YES. You can set if for daily, weekly, or monthly. Pick the day of the week or the DATE each month. Pick the time you want it done.

It is too simple!

The beauty is that when our hard drive wears out and crashes, all we need do is to unplug it and this backup becomes the main hard drive which the system will boot from with NOTHING lost.

How good is that?

You can get 3 licenses for three machines for $69.95

If you only need one machine backed up, $49.95

A wonderful and simple to use program.

hope you get a chance to look at it!
